Fr. Wiley Ammons, who ministered as Canon for Youth for the last three-plus years, has done exemplary work and I want to continue what we in the Diocese already do so well. At the same time, I look forward to working with youth, youth ministers, university student leaders, parents, clergy and others across our Diocese who are active in youth and young adult ministry to vision and plan for how we want to continue to grow in our Diocesan mission to “introduce” young people to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ to equip them to both live and share their faith in the world. Mrs. Jude Holcomb will direct Camp Weed this year and already has big plans, dates scheduled, and counselors hired, many of whom are returning again to serve in a ministry that has contributed so meaningfully to their own Christian formation. Abi Moon from St. John’s in Tallahassee and Ms. Lauren Wainwright from Christ Church in Ponte Vedra, I served at the triennial Episcopal Youth Event (EYE) in Philadelphia this summer. It was wonderful and inspiring to have youth from around our Diocese attend this special event, as well as participate in three days of mission that followed which was led by Province IV Youth Ministers. Participation at such events oered by Province IV and the wider Episcopal Church are important faith building opportunities, and I look forward to more of our Diocese’s involvement and presence in these communities. ank you for all of your love, support and prayers for our youth and young e Rev.
