Description: The Episcopal Church of the Advent in Tallahassee, Florida, seeks a full-time Rector for a theologically progressive congregation that values traditional worship, a vibrant music program, diverse educational opportunities, and participation in community outreach. Average Sunday attendance is approximately 120, and the church’s operating budget is approximately $500,000. Advent’s Day School offers accredited early childhood education programs for students 18 months to 5 years of age. The ideal candidate will be able to 1) Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy to reach new people and incorporate them into the life of the church, 2) Make necessary changes to attract families with children and youth to our church, and 3) Expand outreach ministries that provide direct services to those living on the margins of society. Description: This Associate will share in all the privileges of ordained ministry including preaching, teaching, pastoral care, and administration. He/she will assist the Rector in coordinating all Christian formation opportunities for adult parishioners, and will also oversee the ministry of the Director of Children’s Ministry and Director of Youth Ministry. This Associate will grow the ministries for all families at St. Mark’s with the goal of reaching a broad and substantial number of parishioners with children and/or youth and their friends. In addition to coordinating adult discipleship, the successful candidate will help develop and support a “pipeline of discipleship” for our younger members by working with other staff and lay leaders to create a coordinated program designed to inspire and nurture Christian faith and service.

Financial Administrator

Description: Directs/completes all financial bookkeeping functions at Trinity Parish. Assists the Rector, the Assistant Rector the Treasurer, the Parish Administrator, the Wardens, Vestry and TEP, INC. in financial needs fulfilling Trinity’s mission and Vision. Reports to the Parish Administrator and Treasurer; the Rector in coordination with the Senior Warden will make all administrative decisions. Hours Worked: 34 hours weekly. This includes time dedicated to TEP, INC. To be available approximately one (1) evening per month. Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university or an Associate’s Degree in Accounting, Business Management or related subject; with preference for church or non-profit accounting.

Director of Children’s Ministry

Description: St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Jacksonville, Florida is seeking a full-time Director of Children’s Ministry to oversee discipleship of children birth through 5th grade. St. Mark’s is a neighborhood church with a multi-generational congregation that worships in both contemporary and traditional styles. This position would report directly to the Associate Rector for Christian Formation, work closely with the Director of Youth Ministry, and collaborate regularly with St. Mark’s Episcopal Day School.

Extended Care Teacher with classroom intern opportunity
