Description: St. Paul’s Church is searching for our next rector. We are a church in transition with a small group of faithful followers comprised of aging, long-time members, a couple of young families and a few young professionals in a changing community. We benefit from over 180 years of tradition but are currently aware of, yet anxious and concerned about, the changes necessary to have a viable future. We seek to fulfill a spiritual hunger in our current members and in our community. Quincy is the county seat for Gadsden County, located less than 15 miles west of Tallahassee on Hwy 90 West. We seek a leader who will be respected in our community while helping us develop our gifts, ministry and service. Description: Christ Church Cedar Key, Florida is in search of a part time Rector. Christ Church is unique because of our location on the largest island in a group of barrier islands ten miles south of the Suwannee River in the Gulf of Mexico. We are three miles from the mainland of Levy County located at the western end of State Road 24, about 60 miles from Gainesville, home of the University of Florida. We offer a cracker style, 2 bedroom 1 bath rectory adjacent to the Parish Hall, with a large front porch, a view of the Back Bayou and Cedar Key’s beautiful sunrises. The family at Christ Church is warm, friendly, and welcoming to visitors. The membership includes a firm core of faithful, dedicated people that recently celebrated its 150th anniversary. Attendance varies with the seasons ranging from 30-60 participants. The people of Christ Church assert that they are called to carry out, in this age and in this place, the threefold duty of all Christians, as defined in the Book of Common Prayer; “To follow Christ, to come together week by week for corporate worship, and to work, pray, and give for the spread of the kingdom of God.” We seek a Rector with the ability to preach the Gospel and make it relevant to our daily lives; to teach; to give spiritual guidance; crisis ministry; and the ability to inspire young people.
