Celebration of the Urban Ministries of the Reverend Canon Beth Tjoflat

Join St. Mary’s for a special service and reception honoring the urban ministries of the Reverend Canon Beth Tjoflat.

Mtr. Beth’s joyful dedication to serving those on the margins has been a constant in this diocese since 2012, when she began serving coffee and leading Bible study outside the Clara White Mission, and then soon after founded Church Without Walls.

In 2017, she was appointed Vicar of St. Mary’s and the Diocesan Canon for Urban Ministry. During her tenure, she drew on St. Mary’s long legacy of serving the poor in the example of Christ, revitalized the mission’s downtown campus, and deepened its presence as a diocesan hub for outreach – all while cultivating a spiritually grounded community of radical kinship.

Please plan to join us on November 16, as we give thanks for Mtr. Beth’s work, dedication, and example. The service will be presided over by Bishop Stokes.
