Migration With Dignity Sunday: February 8, 2026 By Episcopal Dioscese of Florida on January 27, 2026 Posted in: News The Episcopal Church adopted Migration with Dignity as a framework to guide all of its migration ministries at the 81st General Convention in 2024. Migration With Dignity Sunday is an opportunity to learn and teach about the Migration With Dignity Principles and to include prayers for Migration With Dignity in worship. The Episcopal Migration Caucus encourages every congregation and diocese to celebrate Migration With Dignity Sunday on a Sunday in Epiphany season. The official date of Migration With Dignity Sunday for 2026 is Sunday, February 8. It can also be observed on another Sunday in Epiphany if preferred. Resources for Clergy and Lay Leaders: The Caucus has developed resources to help congregations plan liturgies, discussions, workshops, teach-ins, and more for Migration With Dignity Sunday. Some possible ways to observe Migration With Dignity Sunday: Include the Migration With Dignity Prayers of the People or Prayer for Migrant Ministries within your Sunday service. Hold a Migration With Dignity Vigil as a standalone service, either at the church or out in the community. Invite congregation members to decorate “welcome quilt” squares, which can then be quilted together into a Welcome Quilt to be shared with an affected immigrant community.
