2026 Diocesan Budget Now Available

As part of the Standing Committee’s ongoing commitment to transparency in financial matters, today we are publishing the 2026 Diocesan budget, which was approved at the Diocesan Council meeting at Camp Weed in December. 2026 Diocesan Budget Key Takeaways

The year ahead is both an exciting and critical one for our diocese, with a bishop election occurring this September. We are fully committed to proper—and therefore, well resourced—bishop search, election and transition processes.

In large part due to these activities, we project that our 2026 expenses will outpace the funds we bring in for the year. To help offset this, the budget as adopted will lean on non-operating investment funds to fill the gap as necessary. As we’ve shared in recent budget presentations, this is not a sustainable position, but it’s one that must be taken in the short term to help ensure a successful bishop search, election and transition this year, as well as other important diocesan initiatives.

Despite these challenges, we have entered 2026 aligned around a shared goal: delivering credible and faithful diocesan programming, including the election process, that positions our diocese for long-term strength.
