Stewardship & Giving The opportunities to give help to support the Diocesan mission and vision and all of its ministries exist through developing and investing philanthropic resources that will sustain the diocese in perpetuity. Through our Bishop’s vision and the leadership of our Board of Directors, the Diocesan Foundation seeks to build an inspiring case of support for encouraging joyful and generous gifts to advance our ministries of building healthy discipleship and sharing the Good News of God in Christ. Diocesan Foundation Bishop’s Appeal for Supporting Ministries Affected By COVID-19 This mini-campaign is seeking donations that will be used by Bishop Howard for supporting Diocesan ministries that have reduced services affected by COVID-19 by reinstating services and providing financial assistance and/or medical assistance to employees who are delivering these services. Tax Relief Benefits and the CARES Act There are tax relief benefits for donations made to the Foundation in support of our Diocesan ministries, due to the recent passage of the CARES Act. Taking a standard deduction on the 2020 tax return means that a new “above the line” deduction of up to $300 for cash donations to charities during this year can be taken. With this benefit in place, we ask that you please consider a gift to the Foundation in support of any Diocesan ministry. CHAIRMAN/PRESIDENT John D.
